There is many reasons why you need to be realistic when you start.

First, if you read my previous article about the need to create added value within your blog, you will easily understand that it is not realistic to publish several blogs at the same time at the beginning (unless you want to copy/paste content which is not creating added value, and which is generally not well seen by Google for referencing...)

Second: there is an issue of workload: If you immediately start by launching several blogs looking for attracting many visitors, you will fail quickly unless you write full-time on your blogs.

Moreover, you will not be able to see clearly the steps of success of each blog separately. Remember taht when you start, you need to identify all the elements that helps to increase the number of visitors, then you will need to identify what actions on your blog are helping to increase your revenues...

It is thus necessary, when you start your first blog, to concentrate on the way your are going to grow it as a tree or a baby...

Remember that too many water or too many light can kill a plant. To grow it quickly, you need to identify what is good for its growth...then you can become a successful gardener !

It is the same for your first blog (before you use ads and also when ou start using adSense !): Test, analyse, understand and learn from each step that helps you:

  • grow the number of visitors
  • create the feeling of a community on your blog
  • make visitors create links towards your blog
  • increase your PageRank
Do not hesitate to take notes of your results to be able to reuse them later...

Yeah you right! I find myself juggling all these blogs and have finally gotten on a schedule of devoting a certain amount of time to each and then analyzing and adjusting where I see fit. Great ideas and suggestions (and the reference to plant growth, lovin it). Google analytics is great for tracking progress.

Wonderful post. I've always wanted to go full-time in blogging. But I guess I'll just have to wait for the right time. I love your posts.

Wonderful post. I have always wanted to become a full-time blogger but I am still very new to blogging. Guess I'll just have to wait for the right time. Love your posts.
